Do You Want a Medal?

I have no problems with those who learn how to make art by themselves. That's nice that they put in the effort to learn something new.

What I do find off-putting is the condescending attitude that some of these self-proclaimed 'self-taught artists' have when it comes to others who at one point or another took classes in art and design. Just because someone learns something on their own, it doesn't invalidate or make any less admirable someone else's choice to take a class/seek out education and knowledge in the same thing with the help of a more learned individual/group of people.
